Cooperation with Liverpool John Moores University

Collaboration between the Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University and Liverpool John Moores University has been continuing for some time now. In 1996, Dr. R. Edwards served as a special lecturer with the Department of Chemistry. Ms Sasiphon Khunaphongkiti, a graduate student with the Anaylitical Chemistry Programme received a 4-month scholarship (July - November, 1997) under the Thai Students and Teachers Foreign Institute Exchange Programme of the Ministry of University Affairs to conduct research on Flow Injection Analysis as part of her graduate thesis under the joint supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kate Grudpan and Dr. R. Edwards.

Furthermore, through the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kate Grudpan and Dr. R. Edwards, the research team for Analytical Chemistry and Environment from both institutes received funding from the National Research Council of Thailand and The Royal Society, UK.
