International Conference on Flow Injection Analysis (ICFIA) began in 1989, initially as a Winter Conference on Flow Injection Analysis (WCFIA).  In order to have the conference in a warm climate in the US winter, the first ICFIA was held in Orlando, Florida.  Since then, ICFIA carries on its series of conferences every 1.5 to 2 years. There are usually regular groups of members who stay solidly to the ICFIA conference. The conference also attracts some new faces of participants around the world. The number of participants has been steadily growing every year. This significantly catalyzes international collaboration and exchange of research visitors or students through participation in the ICFIA.  More information and history of the conference can be found in an in press article: G. The conference welcome all scientific papers presenting new and advanced technology in the field of flow-based analysis, such as flow injection analysis, sequential injection analysis, new techniques, instrumentation, detection, new applications based on flow analysis as well as papers of related flow techniques etc. The first conference proceeding in Talanta was launched in the 7th ICFIA with regular process of peer-review.
