Doctor of Philosophy Program

  

Doctoral level courses offered in the Faculty of Science are also of two types :
Type 1 : Focusing on research that produces new knowledge.

Type 1.1 For a student with a Master's degree who must produce a PhD thesis for not less than 48 credits and take not longer than 6 years top complete 

Type 1.2  For a student with only a Bachelor's degree who must produce a PhD thesis for not less than 72 credits and take not longer than 8 years to complete. In additions, the study program may also require the student to take certain courses relavant to their research but without conting the credits

Type 2 : Focussing on research to a PhD thesis of the highest quality and resulting in both academicand professional advancement.

Type 2.1  For a student with a Master's degree who must produce a PhD thesi fro not leaa than 36 credits and take graduate courses for not less than 12 credits and take not longer than 6 years to complete. 

Type 2.2  For a student with only a Bachelor's degree who mush produce a PhD thisis for not less than 48 credits and take graduate courses for not less than 24 credits and take not longer than 8 yeas to complete.
